When I opened the packaging, it was surprisingly delightful to touch and feel these sheets' smoothness, and beautiful rich deep purple color. I washed them before using them in bed, and they kept the softness. My only complaint would be that they are KING size, and too big for my queen mattress, but still are worth using them, even if loosely fit.
