(More customer reviews)I bought these sheets for my new California King mattress with 19.5 depth. Difficult to find sheets on the shelves period for this mattress let alone high thread count. I bought this set for $50 here on Amazon and I bought a set of Royal Traditions 600 thread count from Linens and Things online for $119 (i simply could not find another for my mattress type and depth in a higher thread count). The set I bought here came quickly and I noticed the difference in the package size between the two immediately. The more expensive set was twice as large than this set which is JS Sanders Collection. I've washed both sets and tried them on the bed 3 nights each. Both sets left about the same amount of pilling in the dryer screen. But where I could now easily tell the difference in material. This set feels thinner but twice as soft than the more expensive set and fits the mattress much looser and is more apt to slip off the corners if a mattress pad is not used. This was expected however since they fit up to a 22' depth mattress. The more expensive type fit much tighter but has it's downsides as well. I hold each of them to the light and I see about the same amount of light through them. So far I really like these sheets but with the thickness or lack there of concerns me for their longevity. The benefit of the thickness is probably more beneficial in the summer or hotter climate areas. They are however worth every penny of $50 if they last more than a year and retain the current state of the material.
