When I unpacked the sheets I was disappointed with how thin they were. Then I noticed that the corners of the fitted sheet consisted of a piece of elastic that had the sheet shirred around it. I can't conceive of these holding up under regular use, much less withstanding a washing machine. Sometimes low prices mean a bargain. In this case you get what you pay for.
